I just wanted to say thank you to all those who visited my article Don’t Quit Your Day Job on Freelance Writing Jobs and everyone who posted either here or there in response, I can’t even tell you what it meant to me.  It has been so encouraging, inspiring, and all around exciting to see that I am not the only one who is looking for something bigger, something more meaningful, and something real from my working and writing experience.  I value each and every comment, and believe it is making this sight a better, more uncommon place.  Keep them coming, and keep on trying – together we can get to where we want to be!

a pleasure Isolde. It is such a tough question, I do actually get to write for a living, but there’s a load of other guff involved as well which is a real pain. Novel writing is the ultimate dream. Anyway, I noticed you hadn’t mentioned it, but Hugh Macleods ‘how to be creative’ is an amazing read:

Definitely recommend it, it also has a section called ‘don’t quit your day job’ – so well worth checking out :) oh and i’ve also popped you on my blog roll.

You’re welcome, Isolde. (Love your name!)

Thanks, Isolde. I needed to be reminded tonight that I’m heading to where I want to be.

I’m really glad your message was here, thanks again.
