Well here we are, friends and Uncommoners, at the last official in-play post for the Great December eHow Experiment – we will have one more wrap-up post at the official end of the month.
Many apologies for not being around much this past week – this holidays, and in fact this entire month, has felt slightly chaotic, like I’ve been waiting for something to happen, though I’m not sure what. More on that at another time, the point is I’m off my butt now and am ready to dole out some statistics.

Yup, I’m sorry to say in spite of my best efforts not a single eHow article was written this past week. So I am still at 30 articles to go before I hit my 100 article goal, and I will do my best to make as big a dent in that figure as possible between now and next Wednesday.
My per day rate is sitting right now at about $.46, which is up about a cent from last week, and I earned a little less than $3 over the course of the week. There was only one new earner this week: How to Become Confident (written 12/14) that earned $.031.
I guess we’ll have to see what happens at the end of the month. Last month I earned $13.84 total for the month, and this month may just equal that number, or maybe fall below it. One of our readers asked me last week how I felt about the results in comparison to the projection, and I have to say I’m a bit surprised – I have more than doubled my total article count since last month, and the numbers have only been crawling up, and seemingly at the same pace they were before I initiated the experiment. I’m not so much disappointed as perplexed. But I keep reminding myself that we will need to keep an eye on these figures over the next months in general and see what kind of a response happens. We’ll talk more about that next week in our wrap-up though.
