What happens when you have a lot on your plate? You get stressed, overwhelmed, and maybe a little panicky. I’ve felt like that for the past month or so – you may have noticed. At the start of 2011, a funny thing has happened – many of my personal and professional efforts suddenly bore fruit…all at once. I’ve been invited to write regularly for some wonderful sites (Hi Yaro! Hi Portfolio.com!), I’ll be heading out to SOBCon at the end of April (yeah!), and another HUGE opportunity just came through. Oh, right, and my client work has stepped up a notch in intensity. While I am certainly not complaining about all this – how could I? – I confess I’ve been feeling a lot of load around how to take advantage of all these awesome opportunities with high quality, high integrity work. I’ve also been concerned about burn (or gaining 50 Ibs from stress eating). My first instinct, as always, was to do my research on stress management and work overload.
